I didn’t get into roofing by accident. I grew up working in the trades with my dad, installing hardwood floors, and continued working in construction through college alongside different carpenters. In 2004, I started doing my own work and earned my first contractor’s license.

At the same time, I built a 28-year career in education—25 years teaching math, followed by 3 years starting and developing a CAD program at my school. That background still drives how I run this company today. I’ve never seen myself as a salesman. I’m an educator first.

Too many homeowners are forced to make expensive decisions without really understanding their options. My job is to change that—by helping people understand what’s actually going on with their roof so they can make the right decision, whether that’s a repair, maintenance, or a full replacement.

In 2008, I shifted my focus toward restoring older homes, which deepened my experience with how roofing systems tie into the overall structure of a house. After completing my 28-year career in education, I made the decision to go all in and build ARStorm Restoration & Roofing the right way, with a focus on raising the standard for what homeowners should expect.
